COLLABORATIONS

Design work for local brands and businesses.

KINOLAU

“ALL MY FAVORITE ARTISTS ARE MY FRIENDS”

I began working with Kinolau, a locally rooted fashion brand based in Hilo, in 2020. What initially started as a collaboration through my own independent brand gradually developed into a more involved role as part of their design team. Since then, we've continued to work together on a number of significant collections and capsules, exploring ways to celebrate local ideas, stories, and perspectives through clothing.

Much of our work draws from the relationship between Hawaiian culture, place, and contemporary design. We approach each collection with an emphasis on thoughtful storytelling, using design theory as a foundation to reinterpret cultural knowledge, highlight familiar narratives, and create something that feels both relevant and rooted in where we come from. It's been a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a brand that continues to push local fashion forward while finding new ways to express the things that make Hawaiʻi unique.

POI BOYS

KAUAI BOYS X POI DAWG

Attatched to the “Hawaiian Enough” exhibition at Kaiao Space in July of 2026, I partnered with local fashion brand Kauai Boys to develop a small collection of tees. Rooted in our shared experiences growing up and living in Hawaiʻi, the designs explored the everyday moments, cultural references, and familiar perspectives that connect us as locals. It was an opportunity to extend the ideas behind the exhibition beyond the gallery, translating some of those conversations into wearable pieces that celebrate our collective sense of place, identity, and belonging.

the boards for a Professional hawaiian surfer

A while back, Kuio Young, professional surfer and videographer, approached me about spray painting a few boards as part of his sponsorship/partnership with Arakawa Surfboards. We got to work creating something special, and I even developed a custom design specifically for his quiver. It was a fun opportunity to bring a little more personality and individuality to his boards through custom artwork inspired by our culture.

PEWA X POI DAWG FOR KILO SUMMIT

After being invited to participate in Kilo Summit and collaborate with Pewa and Pono Potions, we developed a small collection of graphic tees that brought together our shared interests in local culture and design. The collection served as an extension of the conversations happening around the event, translating ideas and perspectives into wearable designs. It was a great opportunity to work alongside other local creatives and contribute to a project that celebrates the people, ideas, and creative energy shaping our community.

WAHI PANA at “IN THE SOUTHERN SUN”

As part of the programming surrounding my Wahi Pana installation at Kapiʻolani Park, I developed a separate installation featuring more of the same aluminum images of the kiʻi I designed for Waikīkī. Presented as part of In the Southern Sun, the installation offered another opportunity to explore these forms and their relationship to place, culture, and storytelling. I helped to design some teeshirts in collaboration with the team at Wahi Pana and Fitted as well.
